Dara & John - Coolum Wedding Photographer

So cuffed when Dara & John chose me to photograph their special day. Everything was pure joy - Dara seriously could not have smiled or enjoyed herself more. She was and is just stunning and so so happy to be marrying John. I dare say John in his own quiet way was more excited than Miss Dara.

The lovely Trish from Tfmakeup did her wonderful thing as always, Vicki Nelis her soft elegant hair and Melissa from Flourish Design created her gorgeous bouquet. Her parents flew in from Canada to join John’s parents and his brother and partner. How sweet and intimate……. Dara’s only regret was her brothers not being there.

Photographer’s by choice do not work in the harsh mid-day sun - though I am extremely happy with these and can not imagine a more perfect day for them. Some champagne, nibbles, frisbee throwing and boccia followed the ceremony and photos on Coolum beach before they headed to the Hyatt for dinner.

Dara is studying here in Australia to be a doctor and I wish her and John all the best - brilliant day thanks for having me.

Natasha & John - Sunshine Coast Photographer

WOW how perfect was the weather for Natasha & John’s Love Shoot. These guys love the beach, collecting shells, exploring the rock pools and most importantly enjoying each other. Here are a couple of favs - thanks for a great afternoon and looking forward to the wedding.

Maleny Manor Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

This was a great wedding. Kate contacted me from the UK - yes all the planning from afar. This gorgeous couple had to leave Australia to meet each other. Kate is a specialized teacher and John works at LORDS in cricket development. Keen to return to Australia but both are doing extremely well in their respective jobs.

So to the wedding!!! The stunning award-winning Maleny Manor was the venue and the weather was perfect. The boys got ready at The Froghouse - some of the best views on the range. They played pool for the rings, we managed to have a laugh and they arrived in a red mustang.

The girls, who are absolutely gorgeous to look at, were so friendly and easy going - the day was just a breeze for me. Terriane from Mondo Floral Designs created the stunning bouquets - just beautiful. They enjoyed drinks and canapes with the guests after the ceremony on the grounds before they enjoyed a little time away together. We had the perfect sunset and a full moon. I captured so many great images but here are a few.  Thanks so much guys - absolute pleasure……

Jess & Chris’s Love Shoot - Sunshine Coast Photographer

Another gorgeous afternoon perfect for Jessica & Chris’s Love Shoot. These guys are so sweet - my job was pretty easy. The only thing Jess asked for at the start was maybe an image with a pelican in it ……….. mmmm of course I aim to please but not a easy request that one. It was literally after all the gear was packed away walking back to the cars we spotted this photo opportunity. He happily obliged for a couple of frames.

Thanks for a great afternoon guys and looking forward to the wedding in September.

Just a peek - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

This first image is what greeted me at last weekends wedding. Yes the bride and bridesmaids trying to fix the slideshow of images to play at the reception. This was 1 1/2 hours before the ceremony and it was just the start of the drama. The second image is the niece of the bride and I just loved how she held her baby bouquet and of course the green bubbles were the bribe to get her walking.  More to come of course once the Thai honeymoon is over and I know the couple have viewed their gallery. It was absolutely stunning - brilliant couple, a friendly fun bridal party, an award winning venue and of course perfect weather.

Also have a gorgeous intimate wedding from today to share and a couple of Love Shoots.

UPDATE TO VENUE FOR THE FUTURE OF PHOTOGRAPHY MEETING ON JUNE 15TH  There has been overwhelming response and young Ross has had to change the venue to the University (just around the corner from the original location). Good news is you now get a drink or two with the nibbles included in the admission. Jump over to the coast photographers blog for all the details, times and map if you have not received the update email. Promises to be an interesting night. I was very lucky to work as an assistant to Ross in my early photography days and if you would like to see some of his talent and words of wisdom visit his blog - seriously amazing commercial work.

Nicole & Andrew - Mooloolaba Wedding Photographer

Nicole & Andrew married at the cute little Penny Lane Gardens in Mooloolaba (after I gave them the heads up). We had perfect weather though the sun drops very quickly this time of year. The talented Trish from TFMakeup did a great job as always and of course Sandy from Rolling Scissors delivered stunning hair as always. Andrew is a gentle giant though it was more than obvious how he felt about Nicole and vice versa. Very intimate and emotional ceremony this one - officiated by Lynette Gordon. After zooming around the spit for photos the reception was held at the Mooloolaba Surf Club - undoubtedly the best views in Mooloolaba - day or night. Truly was an honour to witness this union (long time coming if you ask Andrew’s Mum) and produce their photographic memories. Thanks guys.

The Future of Photography - Sunshine Coast Photographers Meeting

So I was talking to Ross today and he said there has been problems with server/mail applications not letting his email through to some.  He has a huge database for the coast though if you are a local photographer and have not received this take a look. This will be a great night - if you are new to the coast or new to photography don’t be shy - just the networking alone will be worth it. Ross has set up a blog as a communication & network site for all Sunshine Coast Photographers - coastphotographers.blogspot.com See you there.
