Maroochydore Botancial Garden Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

I say it all the time but it is so true - I have the best clients. Jess and Charles travelled home from the UK (working and lots of travelling) to celebrate with family and friends. Seriously this was a super-fun easy going wedding. Jess looked gorgeous in her designer dress, her girlfriend Ween did a great job with the girls hair while another friend Renee did a fab job with make-up - Jess seriously had the best time all day. Charles seemed pretty cool right up until the music started, before he even laid eyes on Jess the waterworks started. The Maroochydore Botanical Gardens was the stunning backdrop for the ceremony and fabulous for photos. Also managed the beach before joining their guests at Tides Waterfront Dining in Caloundra. A perfect day for a perfect couple - loved being there thanks so much.

Hey Jodi!

How you going lovely?  The photos are amazing. Thanks so much! I really love those shots near the beach of Charles and I - the ones with the sun behind us. Just beautiful. You did such a lovely job of “catching” our day without directing us around. We looked through the photos and had a good giggle and really got us back into the moment. You did a brilliant job and gave us exactly what we wanted - beautiful, relaxed shots of not only us but our family and friends. My family actually still talks about how great a job you did and how you werent in anyones hair (that sounds horrible but hope you know what I mean).

Speak to you soon laaaaaady

Wirreanda Park Wedding - Buderim Wedding Photographer

I get so spoilt by my amazing couples - Nej & Rod planned an amazing celebration with gorgeous details, great location and venue and wonderful family and friends - just a dream to photograph. I clicked immediately with Nej when we first met and loved the way her and Rod focussed on their children (last blog post here) being 110% involved. Super talented Trish from TF Makeup enjoyed the morning with Nej and the four girls. Wirrenda Park is quite magical - love shooting weddings there and Jayden captured it all on video as well. Held their lunch reception at Platinum with a funky “lollie bar” and stunning water lillies supplied by Liz at the Sculpted Leaf. The last is Nej’s reaction to seeing the Lee Berryman cake for the first time - love it. Thanks Nej & Rod for the absolute pleasure.

Hi Legend!

Rod & I have just looked through the photos and we just wanted to say how fantastic they are! There are just some awesome photos there Jodi… you’re so talented. We’re delighted! We’ll read through the info you’ve given us and get back to you, but we just wanted to touch base and say you’re fabulous!

Cheers,

Rod & Nej

Gorgeous Kids - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

WOW this was a very cool wedding - just thought I would showcase the Gorgeous Kids who were part of if not the reason for this celebration. Will follow with the main event in a couple of days. Who said you can’t have a kid-friendly-wedding……..

** Out of Office/Town this week - though will be returning emails and calls.

Jodi McDonald Couples Featured - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

A couple of my 2009 couples have been featured in two current Bridal Magazines. Mina & Cameron were married at Rainbow Beach - I used their images for a two-page advert in Sunshine Coast Brides. Kelly & Nico were married at Noosa Beach with their reception at The Planatation in Cooroy - a four page spread in Sunshine Coast Brides - real wedding story. And Nadine & Cameron were married last February at Twin Waters Golf Club - another real wedding story featured in Queensland Brides. Both publications available in newsagents now. All three of these weddings have a gallery on my Sunshine Coast Wedding Photography Website if you would like to see more of each. * No pressure for Mina & Cameron - Kelly & Nico recently had a baby girl and Nadine & Cameron are about to become parents…………. Congrats to all my past couples & 2010 promises to be more of the same.

Ebb Waterfront Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S Baylee and Adam chose me to capture their special day - thank you kindly. Had to grab a couple in front of this artwork by Baylee hanging in her parents home - besides the sentimental significance it was a great backdrop. Adam refused to leave his guests for long after the ceremony so we had some pics and drinks beforehand - too cool. I wont tell you how we managed the moving car image (yes both cars moving) but it was hilarious (and safe). The bridal party were amazing which made my job so easy. Ceremony on the river at Cotton Tree before some nasty rain clouds rolled in - but how perfect for their photos. Cruised by foot to Ebb Waterfront Dining & Cellar for the reception. The whole day was just brilliant - thanks so much for the pleasure. Wonderful suppliers below.

Noosa River Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

WOW another fabulous couple - I get so lucky. These small intimate weddings are real favourites of mine to capture.  Louise and Paul were married at a private residence on the Noosa River with dark rain clouds looming. Louise surprised Paul when she arrived by boat - and not just any boat. This is the new talk of the town in Noosa - Noosa Dream - to get all the details go to Noosa Dreamboats. This was pretty much the maiden trip. Corrine from Weddings of Noosa never ceases to amaze - brilliant at what she does. All the wonderful suppliers are listed below. Louise & Paul braved the rain for some gorgeous keepsake photos - not your typical images of Noosa - I LOVE the soft dreamy colours at the river mouth. Thanks for having me.

Novatel Twin Waters Resort Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

Toni & Patrick choose mid-morning at the beautiful Novatel Twin Waters Resort to wed. Seriously stunning day for it as well! Bill Scurry was the master of ceremonies. Patrick’s two young boys were a little overwhelmed at first though didn’t take long for them to start steeling the show. This was a smaller coverage than normal but we still grabbed some great images around the resort before they settled into a long lunch. Thanks so much for having me it was wonderful to witness and of course capture. All the best for the safe arrival of your bub guys - yes how amazing does pregnant Toni look…………..

Sunshine Beach Wedding - Noosa Wedding Photographer

Another fabulous wedding with a gorgeous couple. Melissa and Matthew married at the Tewantin Catholic Church before all their family and friends, had photos at Sunshine Beach before a reception at the River Deck Restaurant & Bar. Both work in TV broadcast (actually how they met) so very comfortable around the camera. As you can see Melissa had a beaming smile from start to finish - seriously one glowing bride. Her colour palette is just stunning as well - florals in different shades of pink against the girls steel blue dresses just divine. Wonderful family & friends, brilliant bridal party and an amazing sunset sky ensured their day was perfect. Thanks again for having me around on your big day - Cheers Jodi.

Casuarina Gardens Wedding - Noosa Wedding Photographer

Brooke & Sedge married at Casuarina Gardens Noosa on a perfect Sunshine Coast day. I met the girls at their room at the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa - enjoying strawberries and champagne. A short stroll across Hastings Street to the intimate ceremony performed by the super fabulous Bill Scurry. Bill used his charm to get the bulldozers on the beach to stop work for the 30 min ceremony!!!! Quick photo session on bright sunny Noosa Main Beach before jumping a boat to the River Deck Restaurant & Bar Tewantin. Such a pleasure to witness as well as capture their beautiful day - thankyou.

Maleny Manor - Maleny Wedding Photographer

You may recognize this stunning couple from their Love Shoot here - speed boat on the river one of my favourite sessions. Nina is seriously one of the nicest genuine girls I have met - work related or otherwise. Bruce as you can see is the gorgeous man by her side. Nina is Danish, Bruce is South African, they met in the UK and moved out to Australia last year. So their gorgeous day in Maleny was celebrated with mostly overeseas visitors who enjoyed both the heat of our sun leading up to the wedding then a cooler day with rain on and off at the Manor. I LOVE the colour palette Nina has put together. Mondo Floral Designs come up with something different and amazing on a consisitent basis, Bill Scurry is undoubtedly the best in the business, Maleny Manor always magical and Paul from Rockin U Wild has perfect taste in music. I have really gotten to know Nina through not only the Love Shoot but regular emails and the day was seriously just like being at a good friends - hence the beautiful natural images. Thanks again for the pleasure of capturing your day - stunning.

Wowweee, the photos are beautiful! We both had big grins on our faces looking through them, they are just gorgeous – particularly love some of the black and white ones, so classic! The only difficulty will be choosing our favourites as they are all so stunning! So excited, I love the photos! Thank you so much Jodi.

Cheers Nina

NB. Big apologies to those who have contacted my via email with no reply - we returned from Sydney with our internet down and just fixed today. Will be trying to catch up on the blog also.
