Melbourne & Marcus ………..

WOW it is amazing to think half of 2010 is behind us. Now in the middle of some downtime from weddings as it is winter - though perfect time to re-charge and look forward to the wonderful clients still to come. June saw me head down to Melbourne for PMA - annual photography tradeshow & convention. A few iphone beauties - that’s what professional photographers use of course……… Tanya definitely looked more ‘Melbourne’ than I - had a brilliant time.

Last week Karen & I went for some inspiration from Marcus Bell - one day business seminar. He covered a range of topics from technical, equipment, photoshop, products, pricing and the impact of video to name a few. His photography is world class and he is very business savvy.

A few more weddings to post & I will be up to date.

Noosa National Park - Noosa Wedding Photographer

Chloe & Graham are to be married in a couple of months in Noosa! When they came to the coast for wedding related business we spent a stunning afternoon in Noosa National Park for a sweet Love Shoot. These guys are just the nicest couple - did well with all the looks & attention - definitely not a quiet area to shoot. But fabulous light ensured we had a great time and captured some super images. Thanks for putting up with me and my silliness.

Spicers Clovelly Estate Montville - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

FABULOUS!!!!!!! I had the most wonderful afternoon capturing the celebration and pure joy of Louise & Martin at Spicers Clovelly Estate. From Tasmania these guys kept it intimate though special. Perfect afternoon on the ranges for photography and the absolute perfect venue. I have not laughed soooo much in ages - these guys were pure entertainment - very impressive for Doctors & Surgeons and obviously very close friends. Thanks thanks thanks again this was everything I think a wedding should be - great memories “The sophisticated bride with the accent of no origin”.

Hi Jodi
Oh thank you sooooo much for the photos – we are absolutely thrilled with them! Haven’t stopped looking at them all morning. I love the photos of us but I also love the photos of our friends and I can’t wait to share with them – they are so lovely. We had such a fun day and you were terrific! Wish we could do it all again…
Thank you for everything Jodi - you’re the best!
Lots of love
Louise (and Martin)

Mooloolaba Spit Wedding - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

Another fabulous couple - Brodie & Keiko. Living in Japan they chose Sarah from Attache Events to help plan their day - all fell into place and the weather behaved in a spectacular fashion. Brodie is a keen photographer and both knew pretty much what they DIDN’T want - posed and unnatural - admittedly what all couples are after these days but to capture it naturally is another thing. Had a great time and love the look we created. Thanks for having me.

Hi Jodi,
Thanks heaps for the photo gallery. It’s been great to look through the photos. Your shots look fabulous. I like how well those night time shots on the rocks turned out. I really thought that it was going to be too dark for them.

Hope all is well in Oz.
Brodie

Boathouse Floating Restaurant - Noosa Wedding Photographer

WOWZA Miss Rachel (now Mrs actually) is absolutely gorgeous without a hint of make-up so on her wedding day she looked amazing. Again the weather forced the Hidden Grove ceremony undercover at the Boathouse Floating Restaurant - which is where the reception was held - though the pure joy was overflowing. The girls had me in fits while getting ready at Netanya - just love their dresses - almost as much as Rachel’s. We headed back to the beach for some damp though visually stunning photos before the celebrations really started. Can’t thank you enough for being involved - you guys are awesome together.

Hi Jodi, Thanks for capturing our wonderful day!! Even though nothing really went to plan it was great!! The pictures are great I can’t wait for everyone to see them.  We’re really happy and can’t wait to see the rest on disc.

Too Cute - Crowne Plaza Wedding Photographer

Of course you will remember Ang & Ant from their Tea Ceremony here. I say and think it all the time “I have the best clients”. Though the weather was not co-operating it was a perfect day. You can just see the way Ang & Ant look at each other and how welcoming their families are - it is just meant to be. All the fabulous suppliers listed below.

Hey Jods,

How are you going? We just got back from our honeymoon in Penang.

Well now its back to reality, and thought I’d write to say an enormous THANK YOU for photographing the Tea Ceremony and Wedding! Both families couldn’t stop raving about what a wonderful and bubbly person you are. Despite issues with the weather, we had so much fun with you and hope you did as well.

We look forward to seeing the photos and catching up with you soon!

Love,

Angie & Ant

Wet Noosa Wedding - Noosa Wedding Photographer

You may remember Karla & Phil from their Love Shoot here - we weren’t so lucky with the weather on their big day - though you would never know. These guys were so happy nothing could dampen their spirits! We did manage to capture some awesome photographs two days later at a gorgeous home Phil designed (architect) up on the ranges. WOW seriously stunning….. thanks thanks thanks so many memories with you guys.

They’re awesome!!!!!!  Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much for all of your hard work and dedication you’ve put into our special day. You’re an amazing person, and not just behind the camera. You made us feel so at ease in all of the shoots you have done for us by your patience and outstanding charisma. It’s infectious, which is definately reflected in all of your photos.

Thank you so much again for such a fantastic job you’ve done. Some absolutely amazing shots! We can’t wait to see the rest on the disc. It will be soooo difficult to choose just a few - they’re all fantastic.

Vietnamese Tea Ceremony - Sunshine Coast Photographer

Travelled down to Bris Vegas to capture Angela & Anthony’s Vu Quy Ceremony- wedding to follow soon. Such a warm welcome I was given - it was a great morning. A quick rundown of what is involved:

1. Anthony’s family forms a procession down the street carrying gift trays with Angela’s family welcoming them in front of the house.

2. Anthony’s Dad asks permission to enter and are welcomed - enter and ceremony commences in front of the Ancestor Shrine.

3. Ant’s family offer the gifts(fruit, cake, tea, wine jewellry & roast pig) and ask permission to bring bride into their family.

4. Gifts opened and accepted before Angela then enters. There is a Prayer and Song for blessing from God and Ancestors.

5. Angela receives jewellry before the wine is offered (from the Tea Pot) to both sides of the family with an exchange of presents and toasts.

6. All enjoy a lunch with some impromptu music.

Thanks so much for inviting me down - fabulous to capture and a pleasure to witness.

Cookie Monster & Abby - Sunshine Coast Photographer

I had the best afternoon with Abby. My work reminded Abby’s Mum of a friend in the US - so though they live in Tasmania they come to the coast often for holidays to visit Grandma. As you can see a beautiful afternoon both in the fields and on the beach. So many more images hard to select a few for here. Thanks so much - gorgeous girl with so much personality!!!!

40’s Glamour - Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer

Gorgeous Renae & Matthew travelled from Sydney to celebrate with family and friends at Surfair, Marcoola. Renae was going for a classic 40’s look - with the help of super talented Trish from TF Make-up she totally pulled it off. Big shout out for Trish (as I always do) Renae’s make-up was perfect and looked as good at the end as when first done. Another fabulous bridal party & perfect weather ensured we grabbed some great images. Lucky Renae & Matt got an extended honeymoon care of the volcanic ash in Europe. Thanks thanks thanks for having me.

Hi Jodi,
We are having a fabulous time on our honeymoon, thank you :)
And thank you for sending through the login to our gallery. We LOVE the photos, they’re amazing. I want to look at them again and again (and I will, when I’m not in a hotel lobby!).
